Chemonics seeks technical/operational specialists for the anticipated five-year, USAID Integrated Health Program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The program aims to support improving the health systems in the DRC by strengthening the capacity of Congolese institutions and communities to increase access to and utilization of quality, integrated health services. This effort is expected to contribute to measurable improvements in key population-based national health indicators reported in surveys such as the Demographics and Health Survey and Multi-Indicator Cluster Survey. The technical/operational specialists will be a part of the program's leadership team. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in public health, international development, public policy, governance, medicine, business, communications, or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. government and USAID regulations, policies, and compliance requirements related to international assistance programs preferred
- Extensive experience in providing support to multiple offices and locations
- Ability to travel to program locations within the DRC
- Work experience in sub-Saharan Africa preferred; work experience in post-conflict or fragile states an asset
- Experience in one or more of the following technical areas: budget management; risk mitigation; technical coordination; project management; large-scale social and behavior change communication campaigns; and nutrition, family planning, malaria, TB, and/or maternal and child health
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in French and proficiency in English required
