Main objective: The PM will coordinate a UNICEF funded project, contributing in implementing it and collaborating with the various stakeholders in order to ensure programs and development access and appropriately report monitoring and improve the quality and access to protection services
Reporting to: Technical Advisor (1st Supervisor) Country Representative (2nd Supervisor)
Specific duties:
· To be responsible for the WASH activities related to the AVSI-UNICEF project in Tanganyika region (mainly latrines and boreholes construction and rehabilitations)
· Carry out regular field visits (field monitoring, evaluations, reporting, etc.)
· Ensure regular update of the projects planning and tasks based on monitoring and reporting
· Keep good relationships with all relevant stakeholders like UNICEF, Local Authorities, UN Agencies and other NGO’s operating in the area.
· Train staff in accurate recording, compilation, analysis and reporting procedures; ensure accurate data collection and analysis
· Provide direction and mentoring to the AVSI WASH team in the development of plans and implementation of activities
· Represent AVSI RDC at district-level coordination meetings (mainly WASH Clusters, Working Groups) and share with the supervisors the main points of the discussions
· Participate in the design of future new project(s) in collaboration with the Technical Advisor
· Work in close collaboration with both locals Operations and Programmatic Units
Essential Requirement:
Preferable academic studies in Civil Engineering, Idraulic Engineering, Development, Social Sciences; a Master on Humanitarian Studies or WASH related field an asset
Previous working experience in Project Management (minimum 2 years) managing WASH in Emergency programs
Good knowledges of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE)
Excellent knowledges of Ms. Excel/Access
Fluent in French
Previous experience in DRC an asset

Willingness to travel within the country
