The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coach will coach and train the National M&E Coordinator of The MENTOR Initiative in Angola (MENTOR). The National M&E Coordinator delivers oversight of the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) programme implementation and provides support to the MENTOR NTD Programme Coordinators and the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Coordinator. The NTD programme is being implemented in 6 provinces of Angola (Huambo, Uige, Zaire, Bie, Kunado Kubango and Kwanza Sul) and technical support is delivered to the National NTD programme coordination in Luanda. The M&E Coordinator works with the relevant Programme Coordinators, the Ministry of Health, the National NTD Programme Coordination and Provincial Directions of Health to ensure that M&E tools for NTD programme are in place and well-functioning. The M&E Coordinator is managing all the output of the NTD programme and processing them for use in MENTOR internal and donor reports.
The responsibility of the M&E Coach is to develop and further improve the technical capacity of the National M&E Coordinator by introducing professional standards in all aspects of the M&E work, and to further professionalize MENTOR’s programme M&E in Angola overall.
Requirements
Proven experience in developing and delivering comprehensive M&E to NGO health programmes in Africa;
A proven ability in supportive coaching and building capacity in others;
Experience in working with a number of data analysis and GIS software programmes;
Fluent English written and spoken;
Fluent Portuguese preferred
