The role
The Senior Health and Nutrition Programme Managers provide coordination, planning, supervision and quality of the implementation of health activities and nutrition program the Signature Save the Children. He (she) represente Save the Children in local coordination mechanisms (sub - cluster) health and nutrition and assists the Field Manager (Office Manager) to manage the basis of Mbujimayi or Kinshasa.
Qualifications and experience
- Master's degree in Public Health or related training
- At least 3 years' experience working in Primary Health Care and community-based health programming.
- Minimum of two years' experience working in a coordination position in an International Non-Governmental Organization.
- Capacity to implement a both facility (PHC) and community-based health programs and ensuring effective linkage between them and nutrition programs as well
- Experience working with communities of diverse cultural practices and low literacy levels.
- Computer literacy with advanced word processing, spreadsheet and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills.
- Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
- Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of community-based health programs.
- Ability to frequently travel to the field sites and work in hardship, insecure remote and non-accompanied locations.
- Fluency in English and French both written and oral communication
- Previous experience working in DRC
- Commitment to the values and principles of Save the Children.
