Our vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict.

About the DRC Programme:

Between 1996 and 2003, the Democratic Republic of Congo was the site of the most deadly conflict since World War Two, which led to as many as 5.4 million deaths and left the country contaminated by landmines and unexploded ordnance. MAG has been working in DRC since 2004 removing and destroying landmines and carrying out risk education work with communities, to raise awareness of the problems and promote safe behaviour. We are also the only non-governmental organisation accredited to carry out arms management and destruction initiatives in the country, which began in 2006.

You will network and interact with donors and other stakeholders, having ultimate responsibility for the programme’s budget, for raising funds for future programming and for security management. You will be the senior manager in country, providing leadership to programme support functions, including logistics, human resources and finance. The position is based in Kinshasa, reporting to the Regional Director, Sahel and West Africa.

About you:

You will have excellent programme management and leadership skills, experience in a similar context, and be comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
