The total salary package for this position is £39,384 - £42,972 GBP (approximately $59,300 - $64,700 USD) including basic salary, cost of living allowance and hardship allowance.

About the DRC programme:
MAG has been working in DRC since 2004 on a range of clearance activities, decreasing the risk posed by mines and unexploded ordnance. As well as conducting technical clearance work, MAG also delivers risk education, to further reduce the threat to local communities and has been increasingly working on PSSM projects.
About the role:
MAG is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a new Weapons Marking project in the Kinshasa province of DRC for a 3 month period January – March 2016. The Project Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of a pilot weapons marking project. Working under the direct supervision of the Technical Operations Manager they will ensure that all aspects the project are completed in accordance with International Standards, MAG’s Standard Operating Procedures and best practice. The role will involve close cooperation with the DRC Armed Forces.
About you:
You will have a strong background in working with militaries, preferably in complex environments. You should have experience in a weapons marking/management role, and experience in overseas project management within an international aid/humanitarian organisation. French and English language skills are essential for this post. You will need good negotiation and liaison skills as well as a practical approach to getting time bound tasks completed.
You should be aware though, MAG’s areas of operations are often remote with basic amenities, so you will need to be able to live and work in challenging environments, where the need for your skills and MAG’s work is most.
