We have an exciting career opportunity for a Programme Coordinator: PMTCT to establish an m2m presence in two regions in the DRC as part of the IHAP Project led by Camris. This position will oversee programme operations, build donor and stakeholder relationships with key partners and manage the m2m programme implementation in the DRC. This position is based in Kinshasa, DRC.
Key Performance Areas:
- Lead the process of setting up an m2m PMTCT programme in DRC, including registration as an NGO
- Facilitate the recruitment, orientation and ongoing management of m2m DRC staff
- Oversee the planning and delivery of all training activities for m2m field staff, partners and community structures
- Serve as official representative of m2m in the IHAP project ; liaise and establish effective relationships with Camris, other consortium members, government officials, the donor and NGO community to promote the growth of m2m in the DRC and ensure smooth programme operations
- Collaborate with IHAP project management and technical team to achieve project outcomes
- Provide technical and managerial oversight to programme implementation and project teams in the region, including: ongoing design and direction of the programme, ensuring timely submission of narrative and financial progress reports and development of work plans and budgets
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in the health sciences, international development, management or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years significant experience in public health work, including significant programme management experience.
Competencies Required:
- Technical competence in HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, and/or SRH
- Excellent representation, communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to conduct relationships with senior level managers, government officials and medical staff
- Dynamism, independence and creativity
- Demonstrated writing ability and financial management skills
- Determination, resourcefulness, and an ability to think analytically
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Fluency in English and French essential
- Enthusiasm to work on behalf of m2m’s mother and infant clients
- Willingness to travel within DRC and to m2m head office in South Africa as required
