As Deputy Chief of Party, USAID Integrated Youth Opportunity, you will be responsible to assist the Chief of Party through technical leadership, coordination and collaboration with implementing partners, and strategic oversight of all activities to cost-effectively achieve project objectives.
Requirements include:
- At least 7 years of experience in the design, implementation, and/or evaluation of international development projects.
- Demonstrated technical experience and proficiency in integrated youth development, education and/or employment programs for vulnerable or at-risk youth populations.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in the areas of accelerated learning and/or access to basic education for out-of-school youth, or youth employment, micro-enterprise, and market development.
- Demonstrated experience with international donor organization’s monitoring and evaluation systems.
- A graduate degree (or foreign equivalent) in relevant fields such as international development, education, economics, or business, or a bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience in addition to the required minimum.
- Proficient oral and written skills in English and French.
- The DCOP will be based out of the Consortium Office in Bukavu with frequent travel to field sites (weekly).
