The total salary package for this position is £31,868 - £34,012 per annum* (circa $49,600- $52,900 USD) including basic salary and cost of living allowance.

About the Angola programme:
We are currently seeking a Vehicle Fleet Manager for our Angola programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an established programme, working with a small team of international staff and circa 130 national staff. The MAG Angola programme is looking to consolidate its position in Angola and to strengthen and develop its national capacity. Mine action in Angola is critical to the ongoing efforts to reconstruct and rehabilitate a country devastated by years of conflict.
About the role:
Responsible for a team of locally recruited mechanics and monitoring the work of drivers, the postholder will need to be able to lead a team to deliver effective and timely maintenance, servicing and repairs to MAG vehicles/generators, and put in place and enforce robust vehicle fleet management and generator policies and procedures. The postholder will also take responsibility for training national staff in order to strengthen their capacity. Understanding the context of Angola and vehicle maintenance within that context is essential to be effective in this role.
About you:
You must be a qualified mechanic with significant experience of working on Toyota/ Samil/ Hyundai. A background in fleet management is essential, as is the ability to supervise and develop others. In addition the successful candidate will have experience of the context of working in Africa and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
