We are currently seeking a Chief of Party to manage a five-year U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)—funded HIV/AIDS service delivery and prevention program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The program will provide capacity building of institutions and health service strengthening.
This position is contingent on funding from USAID.
- Provide the overall strategic direction, management and implementation of the program.
- Translate the program's goals and objectives into implementation strategies and plans.
- Identify and mitigate program risks.
- Serve as the primary liaison with USAID.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other programs, partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual program reports and other deliverables.
Manage and supervise the work of program personnel and subcontractors.
Master's degree in public health, public administration, management, or related field.
A minimum of ten years of experience managing large donor-funded health programs, either as Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, or comparable role.
Experience managing PEPFAR-funded HIV/AIDS programs in Africa.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders, including host government institutions (at the local, regional, and national levels), U.S. Government agencies, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
Experience working with USAID or on USAID projects.
Demonstrated skills in health service delivery and capacity building.
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Fluency in written and oral French and English is required.
